The Position
The Infrastructure Applications Services (IAS) Systems Administrator 2 role concentrates on the care and feeding of our web infrastructure, including load balancers, web servers, identity and authentication solutions, application servers, and integration and business process solutions.
The primary goal of the IAS team is to keep our critical web infrastructure solutions running at all times. With that in mind, the position requires a strong "operations" orientation and a proactive mindset. A good working understanding of our primary Linux hosting platform, and web server and internet technologies, is a must have. We are also required to interface will internal and external customers, so good communications skills are a must.
The ideal candidate must be a team player, and a quick learner with a passion for learning new technologies. We require flexibility, because we need to be sufficiently agile to react to changes in the business, but we are also a process-driven team, so we need a candidate with the appropriate level discipline and drive for results.
The perfect candidate has experience taking the lead in owning support for one or more enterprise web solutions. Experience migrating applications from WebLogic to JBoss would be ideal.
