This position is based at Hailo°s Washington D.C. office in the US, and is for immediate start. This position requires occasional travel to our London HQ. The Role Hailo is taking the wold°s major cities by storm - building a network adored by drivers and customers alike.
We°re expanding to D.C. - with significant and committed resources behind you, you°ll help build our network and associated operation. About You You°re a pioneer, a smooth operator who knows how to get things done in a fast-moving, constantly-changing landscape. You°ll be responsible for liaising with regulators and industry stakeholders (working with Hailo°s external government relations team) to clear the path for our expansion, then build the team and grow the network by applying - and further developing - our city expansion template.
Ideally you°ll have had startup experience, but you must demonstrate operating excellence preferably in a technology business. Taxi industry experience is not necessary, and not necessarily desirable, either. The Role Leadership of, and overall P"L responsibility for one of the largest taxi markets in the US Represent Hailo (with the support of our external government relations team) to local regulators and influencers to facilitate and expedite Hailo°s market entry and continuing success. Build and manage a local team including our key taxi-driver partners, marketing, PR, operations, and customer and business support.
Build the network by rapidly recruiting drivers, and then customers, with ever increasing engagement from both sides. Help us build a top brand and business in Washington - and manage local PR and Marketing resources to make it happen. Improve the product and influence the technical and business development roadmap Help drive the national and global business forward as a member of the Senior Executive team Requirements 5-10+ yrs operational experience, in roles with significant leadership responsibility. Experience and appetite to help manage the political and regulatory aspects of our market entry and growth.
Politically savvy. Experience working within a high-calibre, high growth, international business with a transactional and business to consumer element OR substantial leadership in a SME / start-up. Cross-functional experience with an operational focus and some P"L responsibility. Significant exposure and comfort working in a technology-driven business, ideally as an executive.
Track record of taking new and innovative products to market. Experience managing diverse teams Highly driven, independent, intelligent and analytical, with an entrepreneurial streak. You ’re looking for your next big challenge. Passion and enthusiasm to change the world.
