Must enjoy working with teens. Ability to supervise, teach, develop, mentor and motivate youth in working environment. M-F 8-5 June 3-August 10 (approx. 20 hours will be needed for orientation/training prior to the start on June 10)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise, train and teach youth job skills while working in the community. Responsible for monitoring appropriate work and conduct of high school participants. Manage scope of work projects for the team including equipment,supplies, tools, assignment of tasks and quality of work each day. Responsible for teaching, tracking and approving the team's HR and payroll materials including the team member's time sheets. Provide guidance, coaching and redirection when needed for team members; when necessary, will work with the Senior Team Leader and/or the On-Site Coordinator to instruct participants of program standards and implement appropriate disciplinary actions. Evaluate each team member's efforts and skills on a regular basis verbally and in written form.

Additional Duties:

Model workplace and professional behavior at all times in working with the team members and the larger group of participants. Ability to build strong positive work culture with youth; developing their leadership skills and expanding their understanding of community engagement.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required. Teaching certificate or related area preferred. Graduate students welcome. Must be able to work outdoors in heat, dust and weeds and be able to lift/move up to 40 lbs. Requires criminal background check and drug screen for successful candidates.
