The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for driving initiatives in line with the World Class Manufacturing methodology as it relates to labor relations, salary recruitment with a primary focus on leading activities which support the accomplishment of People Development Goals. Activities will include working with the Quality Pillars to establish and complete projects involving human error; and working with the Focused Improvement Pillar in alignment with Cost Deployment. This hybrid role may be assigned responsibilities to support all facets of the Human Resource Organization and ensure cross functionality within the Human Resources Group.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 2 years of Generalist experience
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Impromptu and MS Office (including Access)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree with concentrations in Human Resources or Industrial Relations preferred
  • 2 years of experience as HR Generalist in an industrial setting preferred
  • Labor relations experience preferred
  • Possess exceptional oral and written communications skills
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to lead projects
  • Experience working with projects from inception to completion
  • Multi-tasker, able to meet deadlines
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing system methodologies
  • Able to interact with all levels of management and UAW officials to accomplish goals
