The English Language Center of the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas seeks applicants for full-time, non-tenure
track Lecturer and/or Faculty-in-Residence positions (13196).

ROLE of the POSITION
applicants will teach academic writing, composition/rhetoric and research writing skills to non-native speakers, international students and
other English language learners (ESL). The Lecturer(s) and/or Faculty-in-Residence will advise and mentor developing writers and assist the
Director with student placement.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of an earned master's degree in TESL,
Applied Linguistics, Composition/Rhetoric or related field from a regionally accredited college or university and two years of experience in
teaching composition. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated expertise in second language acquisition, the use of
technology as a pedagogical tool, and the teaching of writing to diverse populations. Clear evidence of excellence in teaching is required.
Position begins August 2013.
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is
contingent upon funding.
