PURPOSE:

The Revenue Manager is responsible for working with the Regional Administrators and Office Financial Managers in select locations (regions) to successfully carry out the Office Financial Manager functions. The Revenue Manager will monitor key production metrics, provide training and tools and assist with developing effective treatment center process flows.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identifying critical staffing issues and ensuring that adequate staffing is in place by utilizing the employee selection process
  • Providing direct fill-in assistance as needed
  • Training of the staff to include the employee’s initial training and the monitoring of their progress
  • Training of the OFMs in one-on-one and small group settings, on an as needed basis, of any new rules and/or procedures
  • Providing training to support and supervise the transition from manual code capture to automation to ensure that the procedures in clinics are properly executed
  • Evaluating staff and ensuring that goals for code capture and financial counseling are met through the use of individual performance improvement plans to: ensure consistency and training; encourage and motivate coders; and recommend pay increases as appropriate
  • Providing feedback to Regional Administrators specific to the performance of each OFM and participate with Regional Administrators and OFMs to remedy situations where performance is not meeting expectations
  • Acting as 1st line coding resource and monitor coding issues and daily process questions that are identified by Business Office Operations and respond to them by re-training the staff and/or following up with the Compliance Department as needed
  • Monitoring key production metrics, statistics and reports
  • Improving, developing and/or enhancing processes across all units to facilitate more timely, accurate code capture and 100% financial counseling for all patients
  • Serving as a liaison between OFMs and Revenue Department in regards to Process Policy & Procedure maintenance and development
  • Coordinating with Compliance, Regional Directors and Administrators, as well as medical staff regarding developing and updating documentation to meet Company compliance
  • Monitoring key performance indicators such as; length of time to post from date of service; hold report; weekly in-office cash collections; billed to treat and others, that will be identified as our technology changes; and be able to report to management on an as needed basis
  • Following up on OFM chart and process audit results coordinating efforts with the Regional Administrator(s) and Compliance Dept staffing regarding needs for on-site or remote training
  • Assisting with new acquisitions as requested to ensure appropriate training is being conducted
  • Adhering to Company policy and procedures
  • Acting as a role model within and outside the Company
  • Working independently with ability to lead others to meet company productivity standards and deadlines
  • Consistently reporting to work on time and perform duties of position

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel more than 50% of time
  • Two or more years experience in Radiation Oncology field preferred
  • ROCC certification within one year of hire date
  • Experience in medical office staff management and/or training preferred
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel and medical management software
  • Ability to work with employees from various backgrounds and obtain consensus
  • Problem solver who is detail oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Self starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and think outside the box

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • College graduate, degree in Health Care Management, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Certified professional medical coder or equivalent with 3 or more years experience
