This position will provide executive level workflow management to the Centerâ??s leadership team including meetings and special projects for the Chief Administrative Officer, Human Resource Administrator, Director of Research Administration & Operations, Director of Finance & Administration, and Senior Project Administrator. The position serves as a liaison/logistical coordinator for program leaders and coordinates Massey Cancer Center weekly seminar programs, leadership meetings and scientific events. Incumbent will provide project assistance to the Executive Assistant to Massey Cancer Centerâ??s Director and will serve as primary back-up.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience in office workflow management at the senior level with excellent organizational skills and the ability to change priorities quickly and often with little or no disruption to operations. Experience in a academic medical or healthcare environment working for a multiple managers or senior administrator. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a self-directed manner, demonstrate initiative and maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to the smallest detail. Ability to obtain VCU purchase cards. Experience with general personnel management to include recruitment, new employee orientations, timekeeping, and file management. Experience with planning, executing and evaluating programs, meetings and conferences successfully, including vendor selection, site selection, contracting and budgeting. Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision and ability to work toward common goals as part of an administrative team. Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office software programs. Experience developing and maintaining presentations and executive correspondences. Database management skills including the ability to query reports. Experience with Banner, eVA, state travel and purchasing policies strongly preferred. Demonstrated recordkeeping and records management skills. Thorough knowledge of business English and medical/scientific terminology. Experience in the preparation of scientific manuscripts with extensive publication management software experience. Ability to work with a high degree of flexibility and confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to multitask and to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Bachelorâ??s degree in related field strongly preferred. This position requires an experienced/â??seasonedâ?? executive assistant who is flexible with ability to manage multiple projects and calendars with a strong attention to detail. VCU experience preferred.
