Position Overview : Are you a Customer Service professional looking for a whole new way of working? Join Whole Foods Market as a Customer Service Department Manager (Team Leader). Teamwork is at the heart of Whole Foods Market, and you will lead a team with your creativity, passion for our products, and quality driven leadership style. The Customer Service Team Leader reports to the Store Manager (Store Team Leader) and is guided by the Regional Customer Service Program Coordinator. In conjunction with the Store Leadership you will be responsible for Team Member hiring, development, terminations and generally holding your team accountable for their work. The Customer Service Team Leader is responsible for expense control (packaging and labor), inventory control, buying, regulatory compliance and special projects as assigned. Complete accountability for all aspects of team operations and perform all duties and responsibilities of team positions. We are looking for individuals who lead, not manage, work teams. You will be encouraged to run the Customer Service department as if it was your own business (within certain guidelines of course). This is a position that will prepare you for Store or Regional Leadership within Whole Foods Market.

Responsibilities & Qualifications :Duties/Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience directing a team of 5 or more individuals

Instruct and train new and existing Customer Service Team Members.

Experience working with cash registers and cash handling

Strong knowledge of retail register systems

Demonstrated two or more years of experience directing a team of five or more people.

Stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 4 hours without a break.

Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.

Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds unassisted.

Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds unassisted.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Previous experience as a Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, or equivalent

Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and evenings.

Able to lead and motivate a diverse group of Team Members.

Committed to customer service, training, retail excellence, and food safety.

Ensure that all national and regional policies and procedures specific to the team are being followed and executed properly.
