The Central Processing Technician provides general functions of the department to include decontamination and sterilization; packages routine/non-routine supplies, assembles and distributes trays/carts; inventories supplies; receives and responds to telephone requests and operates the CRT/printer. All job duties will be performed and documented according to established policies of OSHA, EPA, JCAHO, federal, state and local agencies, as well as the guidelines of Altru Health System. Requirements: High school graduate or the equivalent. • Successful completion of the functional assessment.
Preferred: • Certification as a Certified Registered Central Services Technician. • Medical terminology. Primary shift: 3-11:30 pm; secondary shifts: 6:45 am-3:15 pm; 9 am-5 pm; 11 am -7 pm; 11 pm-7 am; every other weekend.
