SUMMARY:
The Product Manager for marketing and branded products for our client’s business will be responsible for delivering on strategies and tactics derived from key customer insights to drive rapid growth in targeted branded products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement tactical plans in order to drive optimal impact and results, including Marketing (positioning, messaging, media planning, promotions), Medical Education (including peer-to-peer and other programs), and sales force support (targeting, training and tracking through a sales force expansion)
Conduct appropriate market research to validate tactics, including product messaging and program content
Ensure appropriate creative execution of all marketing and sales content
Support Medical Marketing plan and tactics
Manage pricing strategy and product forecast (units, revenue, gross profit)
Measure results for product investment activities, including impressions / customer contacts, ongoing attitudes and usage metrics, and the management and analysis of the customer database (segmentation, utilization, etc.)
Drive ownership of all digital product assets, including the product website(s) and digital sales content (detailers / apps) utilizing innovative approaches to customer contact, and other sales and customer tools that support increased product trial and ongoing usage
Continue to assess the needs of multiple customer types and identify any barriers over time
Overall, ability to quickly develop expert grasp of a market, develop launch / product plans based on market and customer insights, execute on multiple product plans / launches, and measure results
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 2-4 years of relevant experience
5+ years marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a demonstrated record of success preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration
Branded experience required, with generic experience a plus. Product brand ownership and/or launch experience required
Experience in Marketing and Selling branded pharmaceutical products, with institutional (Hospital) channel and call point experience and broader branded pharma marketing experience a plus
Proven experience building (growing) branded pharma / healthcare products, including market research to gather key insights, development and execution of tactical brand / marketing plans (including segmentation, targeting and positioning, message platform, media plans and medical education), and sales force support and tools
Experience in developing digital sales and marketing tools and content to deliver tactics (messages / promotions, programs and sales and customer tools)
Strong knowledge of the healthcare industry, including hospitals, and the healthcare regulatory environment, with a demonstrated ability to place controls in place to follow regulatory, legal and compliance guidelines
Ability to track product performance and develop product forecasts
Ability to leverage key customer insights in order to make decisions in an ambiguous situation and course correct along the way
Ability to build strong internal and external relationships and foster an environment of teamwork and collaboration
Track record of appropriate organizational skills and the ability to reliably meet milestones / deadlines. Solid business acumen and judgment
Ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills for a variety of audiences, including senior management
Analytical and modeling skills. Solid critical thinking and problem solving abilities, with a results orientation and strong work ethic. Comfort with ambiguity and complexity
Ability to influence without authority and make effective decisions
Project management experience and team management experience a plus
