Position Summary:
The Coordinator II provides exceptional service and serves as a liaison between Health Care Affiliates, Arizona Health Sciences Center (AHSC) faculty and staff, patient care staff, volunteers, vendors, and the consumer public, assisting the patient in resolving questions or problems as related to the specific job function(s) involved. Supports the revenue cycle by ensuring that all the phases of customer service related to the job function have been performed efficiently and accurately, and mandatory requirements have been met in order to ensure timely and optimal reimbursement. Serves as a role model and mentor for other staff. This job description applies to the following job functions: registration, check-in, financial counseling, pre-visit, scheduling, teleservices, physician resources, billing, collections, and customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED equivalent: (3) years experience in a health care registration, billing or scheduling. Meets the skills Competency of a Level II for the specific function and department in the revenue cycle. May substitute education and skill competency of a Level II for experience. Effective written and verbal communication skills required. Experience with office, telephonic and computer systems, including keyboarding skills of 40 wpm, data entry, basic math and a pleasant phone voice. Understanding of medical terminology.
