This position is responsible for ensuring that residents are admitted to the facility in a professional and efficient manner with all required communication provided and information / signatures obtained in a timely manner. Maintains accurate daily record of resident census that includes each resident’s level of care, room / bed assignment, and gender. Conducts admission interview / meeting with resident and/or responsible party, fully explains all admission requirements and procedures, and obtains appropriate information and signatures on facility admissions documents. Maintains accurate daily record of room / bed availability. Determines new resident room / bed assignment based on bed availability, level of care, and gender. Prepares new resident identification records, Including face sheets, in a timely manner in accordance with established facility protocol. Enters admission data in the facility resident information management system
(Ultracare) in accurate and timely manner. Communicates daily bed availability to all referral sources including local area hospital discharge planning departments.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in human service field or equivalent experience. One year health care admissions / sales / or customer service experience preferred. Must demonstrate verbal and written communication skills (in the English language) sufficient to perform the principle duties and responsibilities outlined in this position description. Capable of performing the following minimum physical requirements: carrying items such as paper records; stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching; frequent walking; climbing stairs.
