Role Overview

The Electronic Security Administrator monitors, responds, and maintains all electronic security systems in the security control room protecting CDW property, including access control, cctv, fire, and security alarms. This role also initiates emergency plans of action and monitors communications during a business interruption such as a fire, bomb threat, explosion, etc.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Monitor and maintain the building’s electronic fire alarm system.

Monitor electronic burglar alarm system activations including “Executive Protection” type activation’s and dispatch security officers, as needed.

Identify acts of coworker carelessness or dishonesty through review of the CCTV system.

Ensure the security and safety of the building and coworkers by ensuring working card access doors and metal detectors.

Oversee the central radio communications center for emergency and/or non-emergency activity including all emergency plans within the CDW Business Continuity Program. As well, respond to the emergency phone line accordingly.

Track the card access system. Respond to alarm activations or violations. Coordinate programming of ID cards for coworkers, regular vendors, and contractors.

Responsibilities

Test the electronic security and fire alarm systems quarterly.

Participate in routine security investigations.

Ensure the safety of the workforce during an emergency.

inimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent

§

2 years Security Officer experience

Other Required Qualifications

Working experience with a CCTV system.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency and appropriately react in the case of an emergency.

Strong attention to detail.

History of working independently with minimum supervision.

Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement or Security Administration

CUSTOMER FOCUS AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

e)

Communicate improvement ideas that you have regarding CDW service quality or client satisfaction per established means.
