POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for creating analytical pricing models, conducts pricing/trade spend optimization analysis, and makes recommendations in support of the development, implementation, and management of NABU price strategies, trade letters and targets for region customers and channels.

Works with Planning & Pricing COE to ensure that category/channel pricing strategies including CMA development are inclusive of regional needs and coherent within its customer/channel base.

Input into price zones with Planning & Pricing COE - consideration of factors such as market share, competitive pricing tactics, legislative actions and any other internal or external influence.

Review performance against pricing strategy and targets, and making recommendations for adjustments where necessary.

Works with Trade Spend Optimization COE to implement the principles of trade spend optimization within region and conduct analysis to develop local region trade spend best practices

Conduct analysis to support the development of price targets for new packages in coordination with the Planning & Performance Management Department.

Analyzes Price Exceptions within Region Customer and provide recommendation on go/no go decision

Partners with Price Execution (Finance) to ensure timely & accurate pricing communications

Provides input into cross channel coherency strategies

Expertise in utilizing CCR's pricing science capabilities - tools, metrics & processes

Strategic thinking and strategy development : Participant on collaborative effort with HQ Pricing COE, Region Sales and Region Planning to develop region pricing strategies by channel and category to be employed within annual business planning process (amount of annual price increase & price changes at pack/channel/ geography level) for category/channel area of responsibility

Subject matter expert on the application & development of all tools and processes that support the assessment of pricing actions CCR takes within the marketplace

Stewards all metrics associated with pricing dynamics - rate/mix analysis, retailer margin expansion, price elasticity

Development of Trade Letters/Price Zones: Against primary area of accountability, this position is responsible for the input into the national pricing COE on development of all customer price package guidance for CCR DSD products (Channel Trade Letters -- inclusive of wholesale list price, guardrails dictating the frequency & depth of promotion, constant cost pricing and special emphasis pricing)

Provides thought leadership to CCR by optimizing the near and long term structure of price zone that considers cross bottler implications, competitive strength and customer dynamics

Develops and advances the processes & tools necessary for the continued evolution of CCR's pricing mechanics including the rollout of constant cost and CCF

Linkage point into National Pricing COE on competitive pricing intelligence, feedback into pricing actions and collaboratively ensure that geographic pricing integrity is maintained

Trade Spend Optimization and Ad Hoc Pricing Analytics Works with Trade Spend Optimization COE to implement the principles of trade spend optimization within region and conduct analysis to develop region trade spend best practices

Responsible for any local Ad-Hoc pricing analytics within the region

Cross Channel Coherency Participant on CCR long term cross channel coherency strategy for major package types (e.g. 20oz SSD pricing within Club, Small Stores and Cold Drink)

Consult with other Bottlers on cross-channel coherency to ensure consistent pricing across markets

RELOCATION ELIGIBLE

EDUCATION:
Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree

Preferred Level: MBA or other graduate degree

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required: 3- 5 years experience, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry

Experienced in developing Pricing & Promotion structures for CPG products

Experience in developing business plans / business cases; strategic thinking (forward-looking vision and anticipating of future needs)

Working understand of P&L levers & value chain modeling

Business experience across multiple product lines and/or channels - e.g., large store, small store, and Foodservice/On Premise channels; wholesalers

Experience and comfort working directly with senior leaders; aligning senior execs w/ differing perspectives

Collaborating with brand/category teams and other key internal/external stakeholders; effective in influencing wide variety of stakeholders

Effectively communicates & builds relationships at all organizational levels

Preferred Level: 8 -10 years experience, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry

Experience in Business Unit or Customer Team Business Development role

Customer/Sales management experience

Minimum Required: Extremely strong analytical skills - ability to draw insights and actions from data; ability to develop volumetric & financial models that can accommodate multiple inputs from diverse data sources and be used for scenario planning

Extensive experience with price/package/promotion plan development & analytics

Ability to lead complex analytical exercises/projects and which lead to actionable direction within the marketplace

Working knowledge of key data systems: planning tools (e.g. AIP, Scenario Builder, Price Simulator), syndicated marketplace information & data (e.g., Nielsen); forecasting systems (e.g KAEP, UFP); internal financial & sales reporting; internal performance management & execution metrics (e.g, RED - Right Execution Daily)

Preferred Level: Experience developing and managing trade management programs

Experience developing and publish trade letters

Experience with constant cost mechanics and Customer Collaboration Fund management

Experience with consumer data sources and advanced consumer analytics (e.g. conjoint analysis)

Deep knowledge & experience base with core Coca-Coal data systems: planning tools (e.g. AIP, Scenario Builder, Price Simulator), syndicated marketplace information & data (e.g., Nielsen); forecasting systems (e.g KAEP, UFP); internal financial & sales reporting; internal performance management & execution metrics (e.g, RED - Right Execution Daily)
