POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Area Sales Leader (ASL) role is responsible for leading a management team, sales execution, and winning in the marketplace within an assigned geography. This is accomplished by planning, concise communication skills, strong people leadership and executing a business plan. The ASL position is accountable for: Creating a Vision, Leading People, Distribution Expense Control, and Tracking and Communicating Results. The ASL will translate strategies into tactics to a team, monitor key retail priorities and initiatives, and deploy significant people and dollar resources. This position will select, develop, lead and motivate the management team reporting to him/her. The ASL will also be a key liaison between retail and the customer business teams to ensure critical business and communication linkages occur between both groups successfully.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
' Drive consistent growth for more than $100MM+ in sales revenue, exceeding revenue growth targets
' Meet or exceed field profit plan within Area
' Develop strong business partnerships with Supply Chain to deliver total value chain efficiencies and superior customer service
' Achieve or exceed service standards across all channels by championing service initiatives in Area
' Achieve or exceed Cumulative Points of Distribution targets within Area
' Lead display execution targets within Area
' Achieve or exceed productivity targets; leading productivity initiatives within Area
' Champion productivity initiatives, such as route re-engineering, with Go to Market team to meet or exceed productivity targets within Area
' Lead strong safety culture by utilizing Company safety initiatives to minimize injury, work time loss and productivity loss
' Develop leadership team and manage the performance development process
' Manage P&L for entire Area; Lead Area sales and labor weekly forecast process
' Responsible for approximately 8-10 direct reports
