Associate Director of Individual Giving San Francisco : Implements comprehensive fundraising strategies to identify and cultivate major gift prospects to support the mission and priorities of the school. The Associate Director identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards a portfolio of current and potential donors with the capacity to make gifts in excess of $100,000. Travel frequently within assigned regions to meet with prospects and donors.
Plans and organizes several cultivation events per year for small groups of high-level donors. Works effectively and collaboratively with internal and external colleagues to achieve development goals and objectives.
This position is based in San Francisco and will require a minimum of 50% travel on the West Coast including California, Washington, Oregon and Arizona. Periodic travel to Chicago will also be required.
Mandatory Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum three years of practical front-line development experience or a background in sales and marketing required, preferably in higher education.
Ability to travel extensively within the assigned regions and to Chicago for scheduled meetings required.
Sophisticated judgment in devising cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies required.
Strong interpersonal, organizational skills required.
Ability to self-motivate and work well with and through others required
