Manages all KFIC Sales activities within given geographic territory, excluding designated National Accounts.

Develops and executes sales strategies to achieve KFIC volume growth and profitability targets, maximize relationships, and product penetration in the designated territory.

Responsible for volume and marginal income budgets for the territory.

May also have responsibility for selected KFIC brokers in the territory.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Develop/execute sales strategies/plans to achieve financial and marketing objectives in the territory

·

Cultivate relationships with Purchasing, Technology, and Marketing & Operations personnel at key accounts in the territory

·

Manage all sales functions in the territory as follows:
-

Communicate pricing, product and market information

-

Continuously discover, analyze, and address customer needs

-

Resolve quality, service, and credit issues as they arise

-

Support and follow up on sample requests

-

Provide volume forecasts for KFIC Sales and Marketing Management

-

Regularly present new products and new applications

-

Coordinate all projects for new/modified product and new applications of existing products

Coordinate with KFIC Team members as follows:
-

Marketing to determine pricing and customer needs

-

Operations to optimize customer service

-

Customer Service to establish order/shipping procedures

-

Credit to establish payment terms

-

Technology to customize new products or modify existing products

·

Maintain a working knowledge of all KFIC products, applications and markets

·

Perform administrative duties as follows:
-

Continuously update opportunity/projects in CRM System

-

Keep KFIC Management updated regarding critical business changes within territory and/or at competition

-

Periodic account/territory reviews

·

Manage assigned brokers (if any) as follows:
-

Assist in training broker representatives on KFIC products, applications, and policies/procedures

-

Support broker needs

Organizational Relationships:
·

Reports to Director, Regional Sales

·

Works closely with Technology, Marketing, Culinary, Customer Service, and other Account Managers.

Qualifications

·

BS Degree, preferably in Food Science or related technical field

·

5 years minimal professional experience, including at least 3 years sales and/or product development experience

·

Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and selling skills

·

Strong knowledge of food ingredient industry

·

Proven track record for delivering results

·

Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Windows required

·

Self starter with bias for action
