Assist in the development and control of credit line assignment strategy and customer level exposure rules at time of acquisition. Responsible for developing credit line management strategies for Chase card portfolio. Developing account selection criteria, assessing risk performance, determine line/decrease increase amount, and implementation of the line management policies/strategies. Line management drives growth by encouraging customer usage and in those situations where risk is beyond acceptable risk appetite reduce the lines as appropriate. Analyze and manage the quality of the consumer portfolio, administer corrective action and protect the bank from losses resulting from poor credit quality and lack of compliance with consumer laws, regulations and bank policy. This may include analysis of front-end operations (loan growth strategies); analysis of back-end operations (delinquency and charge-off performance); or portfolio mix impacts (effects of prepayment rates, securitizations and whole loan sales). Analyze delinquency ratios, trends and other negative characteristics, which could adversely affect the portfolio.
Minimum education required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
Minimum experience required:
5 years of statistical/risk analysis experience or related experience.
Must have experience managing disparate data sources and databases. Must have demonstrated experience interpreting large amounts of data and its impact in both operational and financial areas. Must have experience developing pattern recognition and engaging in modeling techniques including regression, decision trees, and time series analysis. Must have credit data mining experience. Must have experience working with structured finance products, risk analytics and modeling. Must have knowledge of risk principles and procedures including P&L. Must have knowledge of tools and technologies including KnowledgeStudio, SAS/Macro, Teradata, Oracle SQL, Unix Shell, Business Objects, Essbase, Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
