This position is with the University Business Administrators Program within the department of Undergraduate Studies.

Anticipated Salary Range
Low to Mid 30's.

Bachelor's degree and two years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Experience performing accurately in a detail oriented environment.

Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Experience reviewing and reconciling financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Experience with applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.

Knowledge of contract administration.

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of fiscal control systems.

Experience preparing clear and concise reports, policies, procedures, correspondences, and other written materials.

Experience utilizing conflict resolution skills.

Background Check Requirements
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting.

Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.

Responsible for budgetary activities for the Division of UGS to include monitoring, analyzing, verifying, reporting and reconciling for all funding sources. Such activities include but are not limited to: coordination of compliance issues; processing of accounting paperwork; preparation of financial reports; coordination of project close-outs; analysis of internal and external regulations, rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Assists the UBA/Division of UGS Assistant Director with financial reporting for the Dean, including all E&G funding, auxiliaries, Foundation accounts, sponsored research projects, and any other funding sources as needed. Assists Departmental Transactional HR Representative with FACET reporting related to Sponsored Research, instructional, and administrative activities.

Reconciles revenue and expense transactions to ledgers for all funding sources within the division, including E&G funds, Foundation, and sponsored research projects and other funding sources. Ensures compliance with all applicable State, Federal, University, and Controller policies and procedures. In conjunction with the UBA/Division of UGS Assistant Director, ensures that all financial transactions are coded properly and corrects any discrepancies.

Advise and assist faculty and staff in all areas of sponsored research pre-award activities. Such activities include but are not limited to: the identification of funding opportunities; the preparation, review, negotiation, tracking and administration of proposals. Acts as liaison for the Division of UGS with Sponsored Research Services.

Assists with other business and strategic plan development that affects the Division. Assists with support and direction of policy development by reviewing, analyzing, developing, interpreting and implementing policies and procedures essential for the sound and effective management of the Division.
