Cushman & Wakefield is currently seeking qualified candidates for the following
& Sustainability Program Manager - HARTFORD, CT
& Sustainability Program Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of energy
and sustainability programs for a portfolio of owned and leased properties inclusive of
commercial office buildings and retail locations. He or she will work to ensure that existing
and new initiatives are delivered in a timely and professional manner that is consistent with
the client?s overall strategic plan. This
is a leadership role that provides direction for a national / regional
program. In this
capacity, the E&S Program Manager will work closely with C&W?s engineering, facility
and project management teams to ensure a seamless delivery of these services. The goal is to
enhance energy conservation, reduce utility costs and support clients overall sustainability
- Provide the
vision, organizational strategy, and focus for advancing sustainability efforts throughout the
portfolio including energy conservation programs and implementation of green practice
- Provide the
leadership for the portfolio wide sustainability plan and integrate the processes into
facilities and project management operations.

focused on: Green Cleaning, Solid Waste Management, Water Efficiency, Sustainable Site
Management, Integrated Pest Management, and Sustainable Purchasing.
- Serve as the internal
leader and ?go to? expert for energy and sustainability, monitoring emerging trends, programs
and issues, communicating and educating others on relevant topics.
- Research and evaluate
options, present recommendations, and implement programs for reducing energy and water usage
and the associated costs.
- Develop a database of
the various available energy and sustainability incentive programs; analyze projects in
relation to total life cost and prepare proposals for presentation to our client . Prepare
and submit applications as appropriate.
- Facilitate a
portfolio wide energy benchmarking program using EPA Energy Star. Work with the facilities
managers and chief building engineers to ensure that the highest possible scores are achieved.
Where appropriate maintain the property?s Energy Star label.
- Track all utility
usage for portfolio and identify energy ?Outliers?. Develop conservation plans to address high
- Facilitate a
portfolio wide LEED ? EB Gap Analysis using C&W?s Sustainability tools.
- Assesses energy efficiency,
pollution/emission controls and remediation efforts, ?green? technologies and their
application, waste disposal and management, and related environmental aspects of the client?s
facilities and makes recommendations.
- Keep current with
applicable codes, laws and requirements to ensure
regulatory compliance and effective management of risk and liability for both client and

Cushman & Wakefield Energy and Sustainability Committee, interacting with Cushman &
Wakefield managers and senior management to share ideas and further develop these programs.

routines with engineering, facility and project management teams including participation in
standing meetings and reporting requirements.

in Environmental Engineering, Energy Management or related subject. Equivalent experience with
additional certification(s) from Association of Energy Engineers.
- LEED AP
- 7+ years managing
energy and sustainability programs
- Experience with
energy conservation incentive programs provided by various utilities and government
experience implementing and managing
?Green Practice? programs
- Expertise working
with EPA Energy Star for buildings and LEED Green Building certification programs
- Familiar with
most recent local, state and federal energy and sustainability codes, laws and
