Our iPhone analytics and ad SDKs power some of the biggest and most successful apps on the platform and our team works to help them innovate every day. We're looking for a top-notch iPhone developer to join our core engineering team to drive new features, performance tune and push the limits of the platform for all of our developer/publisher partners.
This is a key role on what we call our client engineering team (client meaning mobile device). You'll be building both iterative and substantial revisions to our flagship tracking and ad SDKs on the iPhone and will have an integral role in our engineering organization. This is a developer tools job and you'll have the opportunity to interact with, teach and learn from many of the top developers on the iPhone platform.
We touch upon just about every framework in the iPhone SDK and stay at the frontend of the curve as Apple pushes out new releases. Our clients expect us to lead and we work hard to deliver rock solid code, dead simple APIs and a phenomenal end user experience.
Performance analysis and tuning will also be a significant responsibility in your job. Given the limited resources of mobile devices we need to squeeze every last bit of performance we can get - and then some. Experience developing applications that perform well, use as few resources as possible while still being responsive to users is expected. You should be able to step back and look at a problem in different light to identify an approach that improves performance.
You studied computer science (or another tech-heavy science/engineering field) in school and can proudly claim that you spent more than your share of late nights bathed in the glow of compiler output.
You have a track record writing multi-threaded code and experience with synchronous and asynchronous code.
Algorithms and data structures are your friends.
You see problems as opportunities and have what it takes to effectively communicate, brainstorm and collaborate to work through them.
You're more than comfortable with *nix-based operating systems.
MORE ABOUT YOU:
Knowledge of Apple’s development APIs (Cocoa, CoreFoundation, CoreGraphics, etc)
Experience with CPU/memory profiling
Experience with Networking protocols
Experience with one or more methods of RPC
Experience developing reusable APIs.
Big bonus points for experience with ad serving and/or data analytics
