Intel's Mobile & Communications Group (MCG) needs high energy engineers to help drive next-generation tablet development. The successful candidate will have a critical role in launching Intel's Windows-based tablet roadmap and engaging with tier one and tier two OEMs and ODMs to accelerate their time-to-market. You will lead industry cutting edge mobile technologies; security, sensors, touch, compute continuum, energy management, connected standby, and others.
MCG Platform Integration and Validation team in Oregon and Washington is centralizing some of its automation and infrastructure capability in the US to drive Win8 integration and validation infrastructure including test automation, test case management, build systems, tablet provisioning, indicator generation, results gathering and auto-triage tools. Tools and workflows need to work seamlessly with our partner organizations, scale to multiple sites, integrate with other Intel tool flows.
The technical IC will implement standardized automation solutions across multiple sites for system integration and platform validation teams. Automation of test content, debug and execution metrics, failure logs, etc... are all key elements of the job scope.
The leader is expected to work alongside sister integration teams in PRC and Bangalore as part of the bigger PIV team. Additional responsibilities include early engagement with platform planners to properly size and resource projects along with establishing clear processes for indicators to track execution and provide risk assessments. Also expected is improving processes, creating a productive work environment, and being a catalyst for high quality output from the team.
The SW engineer must have demonstrated excellent technical skills in prior roles and have a proven ability to interact directly with multiple technical teams. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work within a team environment of significant ambiguity and rapidly changing requirements; A track record of dealing with others across groups in a direct and productive manner with unquestionable integrity is expected. Strong demonstrated ability to innovate.
Primary job responsibilities include:
- Develop and sustain validation and automation infrastructure including build tools, static analysis tools, provisioning systems, test case management tools, test automation tools, test controllers, results databases, metrics portal.
- Architect new solutions where needed to solve problems and optimize the toolchain for performance, expanding user base, proliferation of the toolchain
- Working in an agile environment alongside other business groups to deliver solutions.
Education: Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
Must have 2 years of combined experience in the following:
- C#, Java, PHP
- Experience in test automation
- DBA and SQL
- Sever administration
