Career Description

Constant supervision provided by experienced personnel throughout training period. This position is a trainee position. The incumbent trains with experienced personnel throughout the training process.

This position requires an individual with a high level of motivation and commitment to the training program. The incumbent must be a self starter.

Job Requirements

Receive training under the direction of experienced personnel management and perform operational and leadership duties in production departments

Learn department operations/functions, staff duties/responsibilities, management viewpoints and company policies and procedures that affect each phase of the business

Learn/experience supervisory and technical skills that are in alignment with the Company’s philosophies and operational strategies

Set performance goals and objectives with management

Analyze quality problems, determine root cause and communicate to management

Monitor usage of utilities and supplies; tool accountability

Observe experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, processes, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental duties

Participate in employee-related management functions including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, motivating, discipline, performance appraisals, conflict resolution, and the administration of Human Resources policies and initiatives

Serve as a role model for customer service and set the pace for service excellence for all employees

Ensure daily paperwork and reports are completed accurately and timely

Enforce safety and food safety procedures and requirements

Provide training feedback to mentor and coach through each stage of the training process

Maintain and complete required training records/notes and complete training objective sheets

Demonstrate leadership abilities

Perform other duties as assigned

Necessary Skills

Bachelor Degree preferred

Strong organizational, planning, communication and computer skills (Microsoft Office Programs)

Potential to develop strong management skills

Ability to multi-task and problem solve

Ability to analyze data, interpret results and recommend solutions

Ability to effectively interact with employees and management
