Full-time opportunity for an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide a full range of support functions associated with the Office of the Vice President of Finance & Treasurer.

Reporting to the Vice President for Finance, this position plays a very visible role for the Office of the VP of Finance and the Business Office and performs a wide range of administrative support functions including, supporting the Vice President for Finance, providing light support to three other senior staff in the VP of Finance office, coordinating various functions in the office, and working on special projects.

The main responsibilities of the function include:
coordinating various high-level executive meetings (including senior finance staff, finance committees of the board of trustees) by preparing and distributing agendas, taking minutes, and coordinating follow-up actions;

retrieving, formatting, and manipulating various reports;

maintaining and updating relevant information on the division’s internet and intranet websites;

drafting presentations and correspondence;

coordinating various projects and functions within the VP of Finance office

Required Skills

Tact and diplomacy with ability to keep data confidential is essential. Superior interpersonal and communication skills including verbal, general writing skills, spelling/grammar, proofreading, etc. Superior organizational skills along with multitasking and ability to work well independently.

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required; Additional ability and experience with computers and technology will be a plus; attention to detail, experience organizing filing and records systems.

The preferred candidate will be a self-starter who is able to wear multiple hats and is looking to contribute in an evolving office environment.

Required Experience

Associate’s degree in business or other appropriate discipline, plus three to five years of relevant clerical and administrative experience preferred; a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired will be considered.
