Speech-Language Pathologist at Swedish/Edmonds in Edmonds, Washington.
The Speech-Language Pathologist delivers speech language therapy services to predominantly adult inpatients and outpatients, and to select pediatric/adolescents
In this position you will:
Provide indirect clinical guidance to staff, students and volunteers in the areas of communication, cognition, and swallowing
Perform evaluations and develop and implement individual plans of care to maximize functional outcomes, reassess treatment results, and actively participate in discharge planning
Deliver services in compliance with Swedish Medical Center standards, national and professional standards, state practice acts, and current accepted evidence-based practice
Communicate effectively regarding patient's progress or concerns both verbally and in writing with physician, patient, family, other hospital personnel and community agencies
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
Washington state Speech-Language Pathologist license
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
Experience with speech, language, and cognitive communication disorders and dysphagia in an acute care setting
Diagnostic experience with MBS procedures
