The Patient Access Medical Receptionist is responsible to facilitate the patient flow by greeting, directing and attending to the patient’s needs, both on the telephone and when patients present to designated departments for appointments. Maintains care providers schedules. Position requires a high level of customer service skills and teamwork abilities to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.
Requires High School diploma or equivalent; elementary understanding of medical terminology and cash flow procedures. Working knowledge of medical insurance and word processing/computer hardware and/or software required. Six months to one year experience in a medical facility required.
