Job Summary
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for
administering human resources policies and procedures
and the day-to-day operations of all Human Resource
functions. This includes collecting and analyzing human
resource data, then making recommendations to
management. This also includes preparing internal
employee communications regarding compensation,
benefits, company policies, and processing paperwork
according to established procedures. The Human Resources
Specialist has knowledge of commonly used concepts,
practices, and procedures within human resources. The
Human Resources Specialist works closely with the
Recruiting Coordinator to perform recruiting, selection,
and hiring duties.
The Human Resources Specialist will work closely with
the Affirmative Action Program liaison.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ø Provides supporting research to executive management
for human resources decisions
Ø Carries out responsibilities in employee relations,
training and development, benefits, compensation,
employment, new hire orientation, and maintaining
personnel files
Ø Coordinates implementation of human resources
services, policies, and programs for employees under the
direct supervision of the Vice President of Strategic
Ø Responsible for training coordination for all
Ø Responsible for maintaining employee review process
Ø Responsible for maintaining employee files and HR
filing system
Ø Responsible for compensation and benefits
administration and recordkeeping
Ø Support all President, VP, and Practice Area Director
requests in adherence with proper human resource
Ø Miscellaneous administrative & operational tasks
Job Specifications
Ø Bachelor's Degree required
Ø Three years of human resources experience or
experience in related area preferred
Ø Detail oriented to manage sensitive information
Ø Strong administrative and organizational skills
Ø Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ø Ability to prioritize tasks and work assignments
Ø Ability to interact with executive management
Ø Ability to work independently, without hands-on
Ø Ability to work from instructions and pre-established
guidelines to perform job functions
