Responsible to lead, coordinate, implement, and manage improvement projects to achieve measurable results
Manage plant-wide productivity initiatives to hit annual targets.
Champion and drive the Operational Excellence Program
Develop, train and oversee team of Engineers and assigned projects
Track and improve internal and external Cost Of Failure metrics
Support New Product Development (NPD) and Consumer Driven Innovation (CDI) initiatives
Develop and implement processes for continuous improvement
Manage daily priorities to meet departmental and facility-wide Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Foster and promote compliance to company, departmental, and facility policies and procedures
Work collaboratively and directly with plant leadership and employees
Drive product safety and regulatory initiatives on new and existing products. Qualifications
5-7 years of Continuous Improvement, Engineering Management, or relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical major.
Lean Manufacturing experience and application of tools and methodologies
Lean Implementation experience in a production, warehousing or distribution environment
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, written & verbal
Experience Leading / Facilitating Kaizens with bottom line impact, and teaching others how to lead them.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access)
Strong problem solving skills and ability to teach and mentor others in these techniques
Demonstrated ability to lead and/or participate on cross-functional teams to achieve established goals and objectives
Strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
Highly motivated self-starter, flexible, open-minded and have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and be an energy provider Preferred/Desired Skills : Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus
FDA/Product Safety Experience a plus Consumer Products Industry Experience
