urrently has an opening for an Associate Scientist II position, within its Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MS&T) Analytical group in Frederick, MD. This position will be responsible for analytical method development, qualification, validation and method transfer, and technical support including assay trouble shooting, testing support for clinical drug substance and marketed products. This position is also responsible for new analytical technology evaluation, optimization, and equipment qualification.
This is an individual contributor position and reports to the Associate Director of MS&T Analytical.
The candidate will have sufficient understanding of large-molecule analytical methodologies to develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. The appropriate candidate will be expected to possess the following:

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
*Hands-on experience with a majority of the following standard analytical techniques used in the biopharmaceutical industry: HPLC, CE, PCR, UV-Vis, SDS-PAGE, IEF, ELISA, and bioassay methods
*Working knowledge of cGMPs and ICH requirements
*Analytical Technology transfer in a regulated environment
*B.A., M.S. (or equivalent) in analytical chemistry, biological sciences, physical sciences, or similar fields.
*Minimum Relevant Experience:
*B.A.: 8 years
