S U MM A RY
Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages and coffee that includes bottled and canned drinks. Retail selling of prepared foods including, but not limited to: hot dogs, chips and various other snacks.
JOB D UT I ES
Prepare hot and cold beverages.
Preparation of prepared foods for re-sale.
Accurate cash handling and use of credit card machine.
Opening and/or closing the coffee shop as scheduled.
Cleaning and sanitizing work area as required by the State of Alaska.
Provide exceptional customer service on a daily basis.
Promote sales of product through guest interaction.
Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees, and supervising, guiding, and training staff.
Ability to work directly with the public, providing information and assistance on a daily basis.
Ability/willingness to learn and pass on to passengers those areas of interest to visitors, such as local history, people, culture, geography, etc.
Other various duties as needed.

Ability to meet time and attendance requirements.
Ability to work all different shifts including holidays and weekends.
Ability to handle stress under pressure.
Ability to provide quality customer service.
Ability to operate technical equipment (espresso machine and cash register).
Knowledge and skill in making a large variety of coffee drinks
Ability to accurately exchange moneys with the customers.
Ability to reconcile all cash and moneys at the end of the day.
Ability and willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment.
Ability to learn and use company computer to input data on a day to day basis.
Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
This position requires heavy customer contact and excellent customer service skills.
A positive focus and customer service skills is in order to ensure the return of our customers.

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) AND
Three (3) months Barista experience
Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs on a frequent basis.

Recently completed a Barista training Program is preferred.
WORK I NG C ON DI T I ON
Constant movement in/out of an aerial tramway cabin up/down an 1800 ft. elevation; constant public interaction and communication; constant exposure to extreme heights, and periodic exposure to dangerous equipment during emergency evacuations or power failures. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds, constant bending, lifting, stooping is required to maintain adequate supplies. The Tram is a non-smoking facility with designated outside-smoking area.
