Recruitment Number 213075 - Wailuku / Kahului, Maui Employment Only - Hawaii-issued Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A, Endorsement N (Tank Vehicles-1000 gallon or more capacity) and no restrictions relating to K (vehicles equipped with air brakes), O (vehicles equipped with standard transmission) and Z (Class A tractor-trailer combination) is required at the time of application.

Duties Summary:

Performs mechanical work in the adjustment, maintenance and repair of gasoline or diesel engines and motorized equipment under the supervision of a higher level automotive mechanic, performs routine tasks involved in the major overhaul of engines; and performs other related duties as assigned. Completed work is inspected by a journey-level automotive mechanic.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Experience: Two years of work experience as an apprentice or helper under a journeyman mechanic ; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

CDL License: At the time of application, applicants must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A with Endorsement N and without restriction codes K, O and Z.

A valid out-of state CDL may also be accepted. If you are selected for this position, you must transfer your out-of-state CDL to a Hawaii-issued CDL prior to your employment start date and within 30 days of arriving in Hawaii. Your Hawaii-issued CDL will be verified by the hiring agency before you can start work.
