Drive innovative world creation in the pre-production environment. Create art assets to support the brand, and all visual expressions of the brand. Work with IP Development Team and Creative Director to execute upon brand visual strategies. To qualify for this internship, you must be a student working for academic credit in an Industrial Design program and be available to work at least 20 hours a week. This position is unpaid and is for credit only.
Works with Creative Director, IP Development Team, Art Director, R&D team.
Other Key Relationships:
Restricted to internal relationships – no contact with outside vendors.
New concept development for characters, monsters, environments, and objects as they relate to a comprehensive world building program – 75% of time dedicated to this. Research – 20% of time dedicated to this. Team meetings – 5% of time dedicated to this.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:
Provide creative ideas and solutions for world building, communicated through sketch concepts or digital renderings. Research and provide suggestions for visual solutions to world building concepts.
Work with IP Dev Team and Creative Director in the creation of brand guides.
To qualify for this internship, you must be a student working for academic credit in an Industrial Design or Concept Art program and be available to work at least 20 hours a week. This position is unpaid and is for credit only. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated student who is a proven team player, a quick learner, having superior execution skills, a passion for learning while working in a professional product engineering environment in the gaming industry, as well as an affinity for the entertainment, video game, and RPG gaming markets..

Individual should possess an upbeat personality, the ability to work independently and collectively, and the eagerness to meet challenges head on. Confidence in communicating with others as well as excellent writing skills, good organization, timeliness and attention to detail are mandatory. Candidate should exhibit a strong sense of accountability, responsibility and pride regarding this position and the tasks that are assigned.
Education and Training:
To qualify for this internship, you must be a student working for academic credit in an Industrial Design program and be available to work at least 20 hours a week. This position is unpaid and is for credit only.
Studies or training in Industrial Design, Concept Art, Illustration, or related subjects.
Preferred -- Training in the use of CS4 design programs including: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
Ability to use Microsoft Word or Excel a plus.
Prior Related Experience:
Experience with Industrial Design or Concept Art preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Adept at sketching, rough color, and the ability to visually communicate ideas.
Knowledge of anatomy, architecture, & design.
Time Expected to Reach Full Performance Level in Position:
2 - 3 weeks to get familiar with our products and scheduled projects that would be assigned to this person for concept work or research.
