The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for the operation, production, and monitoring budget forecasts for Atlas Energy. This position is also responsible for coordinating with accounting for production budget forecasts. Current vacancies are texas and Oklahoma regions.
This is a senior level position with strategic and supervisory responsibility for the assigned function and will perform all required tasks with minimal supervision. This position will serve as a mentor for less senior employees.
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Monitor all production for Atlas Energy by evaluating fluctuations compared to the budget by comparing market forecasts and delivery requirements.
Responsible for preparing the company production budget and forecast.
Maintain a current rolling forecast by making monthly adjustments; monitor production differences to identify any action needed.
Prepare APL forecasts for transportation income.
Review profit and loss statements for all districts to identify problems and coordinate with General Managers and local supervisors on proposed workover and production methods.
Review and approve all third party AFE’s and Joint Operation statements for economic viability.
Evaluate all uneconomic wells to either sell or plug; prepare package deals to obtain bids on selling those wells.
Track workover, production and geology comments on all wells.
Manage all measurement activity and coordinate with general managers and supervisors with concerns regarding line loss such as pipeline repairs and meter changes, etc.
Prepare various weekly management report for the weekly conference call for all Atlas America Inc.
Prepare and review COPAS adjustments for operating fees and transportation tables by making yearly adjustments and reviewing of contracts.
Prepare all marketing production forecasts by gross and net to the company and net partnerships.
Coordinate with marketing all Hedge tracking and Key Hedge Report.
Assist with the design and implementation of the new marketing/gas contract program on the As 400 for well forecasts and hedge tracking.
Prepare all buy-out offers for joint interest owners and approve all partnership interest owners’ buyouts.
Any other job-related duty as deemed appropriate by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of a production department and reservoir engineering
Ability to use MS Office and the AS 400
Skill in the use of management skills and written and verbal communication
Qualifications & Work Environment:

HS Diploma or equivalent
Plus 10-15 years experience working in the production field
