GENERAL SUMMARY: The candidate will support the Secure Enterprise Technology Infrastructure (SETI) contract for U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS). Successful candidates will provide system and application administration to core enterprise tool sets to include AD/Exchange, Blackberry Enterprise Server, LANDesk, WSUS, McAfee E-Policy Orchestrator, and SCOM 2007.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidate will be responsible for the administration and patching of core enterprise tool sets to include their associated operating environment. For enterprise tools where all components have not been completely rolled out to the production environment, the candidate will be responsible for assisting the customer with the design, configuration, documentation and implementation of the remaining components. Candidate will also be responsible for: the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and usage of USCIS networks nationwide; testing and implementation of interface programs; managing network performance and network security per DHS guidelines. Candidate will respond to incidents, service requests and change requests associated with the managed environment and will troubleshoot and resolve complex problems to ensure minimal disruption of mission-critical applications. Candidate will assist with the maintenance and implementation of fault-tolerant systems, backups, and data restorations as needed. Candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment supporting multiple levels of personnel.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

Requires 2-5 years of related experience in systems analysis. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures used in systems analysis and design. Proficiency in the use of one or more specific technologies may be required, depending on job assignment.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Travel Required. Extended deployment (one to two week periods) may be required to support other customer locations and large project demands.

WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment. Must be able to lift and carry at least 30-50 lbs.
