Software Engineer, Japanese Product Focus, Applications Twitter -

Twitter is looking for engineers who are passionate about making Twitter products excellent in the Japanese market.
You will be based in San Francisco HQ and work on various areas of Twitter including mobile clients and web front-end. You will directly impact the experience of millions of Twitter users in Japan.
Responsibilities
Build and enhance exciting Twitter branded experiences on the mobile client platforms for iOS, Android and Japanese mobile platforms.
Improve Twitter web front-end and bring product quality in Japanese to the level of 'Japan quality'.
Work with backend engineers to build a robust email infrastructure which handles Japanese keitai mails.
Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from, product management, interaction designers, and other teams.
Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems
Conduct design and code reviews
Code using primarily Ruby, Java, or Objective-C.
Requirements
Excellent programming skills in Ruby, Python, Java or Objective-C and JavaScript/HTML/CSS.
Good software engineering skills (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation)
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Comfortable with agile techniques (user stories, TDD, pair programming) and working in an open floorplan
Broad interest in technology and quickly adapt to new technology/techniques.
High sensitivity to user experience for international audience.
Fluency in Japanese and English
Desired
Experience in email infrastructures (e.g. postfix)
Experience in Japanese mobile technologies including Keitai mail, iMode, EZweb, Y! Keitai.
Experience building mobile applications on iOS, Android and/or iAppli.
Experience in i18n and character encoding issues.
High sensitivity to user experience for international audience.
