IT’SUGAR is looking for a store manager for its Santa Cruz location (opening soon!!) Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our store. Some of the main responsibilities include: hiring/training staff, controlling expenses, increasing sales, merchandising and superior customer service.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
-Set store standards including but not limited to sales performance, profitability, associate conduct, operational standards, asset management team, merchandise and housekeeping standards.
- Create outstanding customer relations and influence all staff members to do the same; assist in the direction of company outreach and community relations; serve as the store’s chief ambassador and be completely identified with the name IT’SUGAR
- Hire and train store associates. Supervise and develop staff to achieve the highest levels of personal performance with decreasing levels of direct supervision; to train staff and coordinate efforts to achieve goals
- Possess and share a high level of product knowledge; effectively demonstrate products; assess product performance and communicate opportunities to appropriate business partners, i.e.: buyers, planners
- Thoroughly understand and dissect store Profit and Loss Statements to identify opportunities, establish or enhance controls, adhere to budgets and increase store profitability
-Conduct all business in a thoroughly honest and dependable manner, including but not limited to all register functions, inventory and inventory control, special orders, price changes and handling customer sends
-Any other tasks that may be assigned by upper management
Candidates Must be Able to:
-Develop and train employees
-Provide outstanding customer service
-Maintain records and documentation pertaining to work force
-Communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others, understands material, and provides instructions to associates
Ideal candidates MUST:
-Possess 3+ years of experience in retail
-2+ years of experience as a store manager
-Strong team leadership skills
-Excellent customer service skills
-Interpersonal and communication skills
-Energetic, outgoing, driven individual with an eye for fashion
-Have experience in personnel management
-Strong visual/merchandising background
-Sound organization and operational skills
-Ability to work a flexible schedule (including nights, weekend and holidays)
