The Systems of Care Division (SCD) is responsible for administration of the California Children’s Services (CCS) Program, the Genetically Handicapped Persons Program (GHPP), the Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) Program, Care Coordination Management (CCM), Health Care Program for Children in Foster Care (HCPCFC), and the 1115 Waiver programs. The various programs managed by SCD provide a comprehensive system of health care through preventative screening services, diagnostic services, treatment, rehabilitation services, and follow-up services and has successfully assisted thousands of children and adults with special health care needs in gaining access to the medical treatment necessary to maintain and improve their functioning and long-term prognosis.

The Systems of Care Division is recruiting for a part-time Hearing Conservation Specialist (HCS) position to work in the California Children’s Services Program. The HCS will function as a technical specialist to the Systems of Care Division in the implementation, oversight, and monitoring of the Newborn Hearing Screening Program (NHSP) and will provide consultation and technical assistance relating to audiology services for the California Children’s Services (CCS) and Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) programs.

The HCS position requires possession of a Master's Degree and a valid license to practice Audiology in California. Also, you must be on the HCS list or have lateral transferability into the HCS classification.
