Call Center Environment
Primarily responsible for correctly scheduling examinations, procedures and surgeries by utilizing the scheduling system; providing special instructions and/or preps as requested by the scheduling physician; obtaining appropriate reason for procedure and when appropriate, obtaining pre-certification information.
Education & Certification:
High School Diploma or GED required.
National Association of Healthcare Access Management preferred.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Two (2) years patient admissions or patient scheduling in a healthcare environment preferred.
Medical Terminology and scheduling system software preferred.
Good problem solving, decision-making skills, organized and can multi-task
Good verbal and written communication skills with excellent customer service.
Basic computer knowledge.
