The purpose of this position is to replenish distribution center inventory for an assigned portfolio of items.
The selected candidate will utilize buying systems and supporting system capabilities to attain established service level objectives, sale service objectives, Corporate Brand service objectives and inventory turn objectives. They will also create purchase orders and establish delivery dates needed to attain these objectives as well as monitor inventory and open purchase orders as needed to support store demand.
This position works with the merchandising group to establish individual item sales forecasts and communicates forecasts to suppliers. The selected candidate will be expected to determine optimum pre-sale allocations, track inbound sale product, and monitor store orders with the objective of minimizing excess inventory at conclusion of the sale.
The Replenishment Analyst serves as the primary point of contact to address and resolve supply chain issues impacting distribution, merchandising, suppliers, transportation and the stores. They research and resolve product availability issues, late deliveries, purchase order discrepancies, freshness issues, etc.
This position is responsible for mentoring, coaching, and supporting the activities and associates engaged in supply chain deliverables impacting service level and inventory turns as related to Efficiency Program Analysts, logistics and backhaul opportunities. They provide daily oversight and leadership to ensure the execution of supply chain processes to meet established and clearly defined KPIs.
The selected candidate will evaluate efficient order quantities (EOQs) at the item and vendor level and deliver optimum net landed cost by exploring all opportunities including LTL, combining loads, bracket pricing, direct plant ship, etc.
This candidate will be expected to utilize all available tools and data to maintain up-to-date, accurate and clean inventory within the AUSA distribution center network as well as address issues resulting in non-movement of inventory and process return-to-vendor on overstocks and discontinued items. They will work with the merchandising group to develop a plan to address overstocks and excess inventory as well as work with suppliers, quality control, supply chain, store divisional operations and Risk Management to address product availability, freshness, transition issues, recalls, and market withdrawals. This candidate will also communicate with Demand Forecast team on a regular basis to obtain information relating to specific demand anomalies.
