Position Summary/Responsibilities Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.

Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area. Knowledge Complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Problem Solving Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. Discretion/Latitude Works under general direction and as part of a team. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

Impact Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources. Liaison Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

Specifics Implements assigned test plans for repairable items. Develops written repair specification in accordance with prescribed guidelines. Provides technical assistance to engineers as required during developmental stages of test plans. Additional desired software experience in Lasar 6.0, LabWindows CVI, Test Studio, and ATEasy is desired.

Additional desired developmental experience in test pattern generation for test platform Teradyne Spectrum 9000 and Geotest GX 7002A application testing is also desired. This position also has the responsibility of Safety officer. Must have knowledge OSHA/MSDS programs. ISO 9001 experience also desired.

Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree, Master's degree Typical Minimum Experience 5 years with Bachelor's; 3 years with Master's Security Clearance Required USPS Non-Sensitive Security Clearance Required.
