Local manufacturing company with global parent is seeking an assertive, organized and results oriented individual to join our management team. Requirements for the Technical Product Specialist position and job specifications are: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required: B.S. in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, design engineering or equivalent experience. 0-2 years experience in manufacturing environ- ment. Co-op and Intern experience included. Strong problem solving skills including the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve customer questions and issues. Provides technical support to end users on a variety of the Company's products and services. Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills are required. Promptly responds to telephone calls, email and customer requests for technical support. Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organization skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience building and maintaining external customer relationships. Must be detail oriented, multi-tasked and a team player. Kaizen, 5-S, Kanban and Lean experience preferred. Investigates customer issues by working with manufacturing management to identify and resolve technical problems in a timely manner that exceeds customer satisfaction. Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution. Works closely with R&D and product develop- ment to take new product development to commercialization. Supports the launch of new products. Investigates new applications or new product opportunities. Provides field and hands-on solutions to product applications, installment and troubleshooting for a variety of products. Travels as necessary to support internal and external customers.
