For our Strategic Resources Team in New York, we are looking for a VP, Research who shares this spirit.
The successful candidate will be a go-to source for our clients, providing primary and secondary insights for their business. He/she will be our clients’ strategic consultant--analyzing their targets, marketing goals and competitive challenges, while working with a team of communications professionals across the USA.

Mission :
Uncover and proactively share insights with Internal and External clients and with our Senior Management.

Core Responsibilities :
Prepare customized client presentations evaluating and presenting consumer insights through syndicated tools and custom and proprietary methodologies Serve as a primary point of contact to our multiple research vendors. Create approaches and customized methodologies to answer our clients’ business challenges Manage daily research requests from our strategic planning teams and clients Challenge the research team to constantly rethink status and improvements Establish/maintain relationships with other ZenithOptimedia offices as well as worldwide clients Represent ZenithOptimedia in new business engagements Actively participate in client meetings, lead discussions, and facilitate work sessions as needed Anticipate client needs and provide proactive solutions Inspire clients and team members with sophisticated analyses and actionable insights
Qualifications
Passion for media, business, and consumer research Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies Ability to write questionnaires and discussion guides Excellent management and motivational skills Superior organizational and interpersonal skills Strong client presentation and business writing abilities Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning Self-starter bias for action and results Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment A “Do whatever it takes” attitude Sense of humor

Minimum Requirements:
7+ years research experience, preferably media related 3+ years managing a team Solid understanding of qualitative research tools and approaches as well as proven experience in quantitative research design, implementation, and analytics. Bachelor or Arts / Bachelor of Science degree from a top tier school. Graduate degree preferred Vendor management experience
