World renowned industrial equipment provider is seeking a Logistics Specialist for Information flow with 3-5 years experience for a direct hire career opportunity in the greater Allentown, PA area. The right candidate will drive improvements within the logistics department to include safety, quality, deliverable and cost. Please see below for further detail:
Responsibilities
Identify and apply processes along the entire value stream (from supplier to customer) using lean principles and tools. Manage activities and collaborate with other facilities and corporate functions. implement improvement activities, track progress and success using KPIs and report to higher management on a regular basis. Identify and development logistics requirements along the entire supply chain in conjunction with all departments involved in the manufacturing process. Develop tools and implement to support daily activities within the department and support process standardization. Generate reports using SAP (or similar ERP/MRP system) and Microsoft Office Excel and Acess. Coordinate work tasks and priorities as well as the resources to meet work demands efficiently. Answer to a large volume of verbal and written requests for information and perform other essential and related peripheral duties as may be assigned. Requirements
BS degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field of study from an accredited school (no technical schools) Minimum of 3 years experience in logistics/supply chain and familiar with lean logistics or lean manufacturing in an Automotive or industrial environment (other work environments will be considered.) Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/MRP system. Ability to handle multiple projects at one time; good time management skills needed. Excellent reporting, communication and interpersonal skills with flexibility and team approach. Must have a positive attitude and able to adapt to change and new concepts easily. Benefits
