Position Summary: Lead Librarian (Medical), DO-1410-02 at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW), Academic Office (ED), Distributed Learning (EDD) located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The primary duty of this position is to direct the full scope of the medical library operations including administration, management, coordination, planning, setting library goals, marketing and promoting of all medical library operations that provide information services to the organization and it's customers.

MAJOR DUTIES

(may include)

:

Develops short and long term plans and goals for the library and library services.

·

Collaborates with Division Chief to develop and justify the library budget.

·

Directs marketing programs including outreach and publicity programs and special events.

·

Overseas acquisition of materials for the library collection.

·

Functions as the lead technical reference specialist and determines automation requirements of the library.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower band

DR-1410-01

or GS-1410-11 or equivalent.

Specialized experience must include experience

as a medical librarian working in all aspects of library operations such as administration, management planning, marketing and setting library goals
