The MLT Clinical Coordinator is a technologist whose major area of responsibility is coordination of the clinical education with the didactic education and evaluation of the clinical education effectiveness through a schedule of regular visits to the clinical education centers, as well as classroom teaching responsibilities.
- Serve as a liaison for communication with clinical agencies and clinical instructors in the clinical setting
- Communicate with Program Director concerning the status of student learning experiences
- Classroom didactic instruction
- Maintain an environment conducive to learning in the clinical and campus laboratories
- Order supplies and maintain inventory and equipment with attention to cost and quality
- Set up instructional equipment and supplies
- Assist students in their orientation to the laboratories and in practicing skills
Minimum $53,573. Plus excellent medical insurances, paid leaves and tuition reimbursement.
This position is not overtime eligible.
Bachelor's degree in related field, master's degree preferred, and 3 years experience in clinical laboratory science to include training, presentations or curricular design. This position requires strong organizational skills, including the ability to identify and set priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills are mandatory. Outstanding interpersonal skills required, including the ability to interact with a diverse range of students (including those with special needs), faculty and staff required. Ability to work independently, flexibly, and as part of a team are required. Knowledge of a variety of teaching delivery methods is necessary. The Clinical Coordinator must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Licensing or Certification Required
Current licensure / certification / professional qualifications - MT (ASCP) or equivalent
Graduate degree compatible with academia and/or profession - preferred
