The Visiting Nurse Association Client Service Manager identifies, develops and enhances business relationships for Hospice and Private Duty. This marketing representative acts as a resource for information to ensure quality care for every patient and family that we serve.
The main function of this job is to generate new admissions for service through informing potential and existing referral sources, customers, and payers about VNA’s program services and features. The Client Service Manager will represent VNA at community events, health fairs, local Better Business Bureau’s, and within referral sources to promote and inform of our mission throughout their provided territory. In addition, the Client Service Manager will partner with social service, physicians, hospital personnel and discharge planners in order to assess client needs, coordinate referrals, promote ease of referral, communicate VNA program information and secure future business. All documentation and reports are given through an electronic record to analyze and capture market trends.
The Client Service Manager will work with VNA managers to meet admission targets and to assist in the verification of patient referral service authorizations. The Client Service Manager may attend Case Conference/IDT and staff meetings to identify further business development opportunities. The Client Service Manager will utilize expert Service Recovery Skills to address customer satisfaction issues.
Baccalaureate Degree in communication, public relations, or related field. Suitable experience may substitute. RN/LVN with home care/hospice experience preferred.
VNA Qualifications include:
One year account management or business development experience. Healthcare experience preferred.
A strong knowledge of local healthcare market and trends.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information discovered through quality activities.
Expert written, verbal, telephonic and electronic communication skills and superior time management and organizational skills.
Proven experience in use of service recovery techniques, with ability to manage ambiguity and resolve conflict.
Must possess the characteristics of courtesy, honesty, and integrity to meet the VNA expectations of quality care.
Must successfully pass a background check, satisfactory driving record search, and drug screen.
