For more information, visit us on-line at: http://www.unlv.edu. ROLE of the POSITION The position of Assistant Coach, Football reports directly to the Head Coach, Football. The position is responsible for all aspects of teaching, coaching, evaluating and working with student-athletes in the sport of football. Defensive expertise required.
This position will be responsible for the recruitment of student-athletes that are consistent with the mission and goals set forth by both the Head Football Coach and the University. Candidates need to have a clear understanding of NCAA and Conference rules. This position will also be responsible for other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach, including but not limited to, assisting with camps and clinics, community service and public relation programs for the football program or department. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
Three to five years of collegiate level football coaching experience. Strong interpersonal communication skills in working with the head coach, student-athletes, administration, staff, alumni and community. Candidates with Division I or NFL football experience preferred. Strong commitment to academic achievement of student-athletes; and strong organizational skills.
SALARY RANGE Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
