#12046The Peer Specialist for the Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) is responsible for providing outreach and support to seriously mentally ill and/or substance abusing consumers in the community. The Peer Specialist will assist clients with basic physical, financial, social, personal, and recovery needs. The Peer Specialist will assist the Mobile Crisis Response Team in the provision of services to clients.
Associates Degree in Human Services (Sociology, Psychology, Social Work or Counseling) and at least one (1) year of experience providing direct services to adults with mental illness. OR Associates Degree, or higher degree, in an unrelated field and three (3) years experience providing direct services to adults with mental illness. AND Must be, or have previously been, a recipient of mental health services for mental illness and should be well along in the recovery process. Work schedule primarily 2:00pm – 10:00pm.
