DESCRIPTION

Seeking a well-motivated and detail-oriented person to serve as Team Leader in the dish washing area of the Little Rock VA Hospital and North Little Rock VA Hospital.

Responsibilities include washing dishes and cookware, cleaning and sanitizing dish machines and assigned dish washing areas. Additional responsibilities include assignment of work procedures, verifying time sheets and insuring compliance with all government standards and requirements.

3 Full-time positions are available.

Hours: 9:00 am - 8:00 pm, on a rotating schedule of 3 days on and 3 days off.

Must be able to work all days of the week, including weekends and holidays.

Location: Little Rock, AR.

DUTIES

Advises employees on proper care and operation of dish and pot washing equipment, cart washers, and notifies appropriate government representatives of equipment malfunctions.

Reviews water temperature records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures.

Verifies entries on time sheets.

Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites work flow.

Issues written and oral instructions.

Examines work for cleanliness and conformance to policies and procedures.

Adjusts errors and complaints. Responds promptly to customer needs.

Takes prompt action to correct safety problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); at least 6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.

Must be able to write routine reports and be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Must possess valid Arkansas driver's license.

Must meet minimum age requirements to operate Pathfinder vehicles. Advises employees on proper care and operation of dish and pot washing equipment, cart washers, and notifies appropriate government representatives of equipment malfunctions.
