Develop concepts used in the design, development, and production of aeronautical and aerospace systems and structural components
Perform design, modification, and development using 3-dimensional computer-aided design software, including CATIA & ENOVIA under the guidance of senior engineers
Apply composite design methods, techniques, and processes to aerospace parts and components using aerospace-grade graphic fiber reinforced composite materials
Participate in the initial product definition, integration, manufacturing support, certification and in-service support
Provide design input and integration to primary structures, flight control structures, and mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems support structure.
- Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience performing aerospace structural design
- experience must also include five years of experience: performing composite structural design using CPD or FIBERSIM, advanced surface design, assembly design, 2D drafting, 3D relational design, and 3D Model based definition using CATIA design and ENOVIA PDM tools
